Italian sportswear company Errea were founded in San Polo di Torrile in 1988 by Angelo Gandolfi and are known in England primarily for their long association with Middlesbrough for whom they supplied playing kit from 1994 to 2009. During this time they produced a rich variety of home and away strips for the side although their 15 years with the club was also notable due to the inclusion of a new set of kits every season at a time when two-year kit cycles were the norm.

The company’s only other top flight contract in England commenced in 2011 when they signed a deal with Norwich City but over the years Cardiff City, Notts County, Bristol Rovers, Derby County and Brighton and Hove Albion amongst others have all worn the brand.

However, naturally it is in their native Italy that Errea are more widely known and Bari, Bologna, Genoa and Parma are just a few of the many Italian sides that have all donned Errea strips at one time or another. Several smaller international sides such as Malta and Iceland have also worn Errea.

The brand is also well known in basketball, rugby and volleyball.
