Details - Third shirt as worn when Fabio Capello returned for his second spell as manager, guiding Real Madrid to the La Liga title as they finished ahead of Barcelona on head to head record. Despite winning his second La Liga title for the club, Capello was still sacked at the end of the season after criticism regarding the club's style of play. The club also suffered early exits in both cup competitions, being knocked out in the last 16 of both the Copa del Rey and Champions League, losing against Real Betis and Bayern Munich in respective competitions.
