They won 19 matches, drew 12, and lost 15, scoring 68 goals and conceding 59. In the FA Cup, Rochdale were knocked out in the second round by Fleetwood Town, losing 2-1 in a replay after drawing the first match 2-2. In the League Cup, Rochdale were eliminated in the first round by Barnsley, losing 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
