Details - Goalkeeper shirt worn by Werder Bremen when the team were relegated from the Bundesliga after having remained in the top-flight of German Football for 40 years after their promotion in the 1980-81 season. Werder Bremen remained outside of the relegation places for much of the season but failed to win all of their last 11 games slipping into the automatic relegation zone on the last day of the season after losing 4-2 against Borussia Monchengladbach. The 'city' shirt features images of the clubs home stadium, the Westerstadion, and the images are arranged to emulate the city of Bremen flag.
